Wind Power in Washington StateWashington has wind supply consistent with large scale production. The largest neighboring areas of good and very good windpower are positioned in the inner portion of the map. They are condensed in the Kittitas Valley northwest of Yakima, on the ridges west of the Columbia River northeast of Yakima, and in the Horse Heaven Hills north of the Columbia River near the Oregon perimeter. Another area of good and excellent windpower is over of the Blue Mountains in southeastern Washington. |
