North Dakota has wind resources suitable with utility-scale production. Good and excellent wind windpower areas are located throughout North Dakota. Prominent areas include the area south of Jamestown towards the South Dakota edge, the Turtle Mountain area near the Canadian perimeter, and along Minot Ridge. The regions around Dickinson and Williston also have pockets of exceptional wind supply.
