Wind Power in Idaho

Idaho has wind resources consistent with large scale wind power generation. The contiguous areas of good-to-excellent resource are concentrated on the hills and ridges south of the Snake River Plain in southern Idaho, especially the area between Twin Falls and Pocatello. Other noteworthy windpower areas are positioned in outflow valleys in northeastern Idaho and on the ridge crests all the way through the state.
